Dirty Bathrooms
The window had muddy handprints on inside and outside – even though we were second story. The window was greasy and grimy and dingy – even a sunny Sunnyvale day could not get a glimmer of light in that depressing bathroom.

The bathroom sink had rust spots in the enamel and metal and we used quite a lot of rubbing alcohol on it and all the handles when we checked in. (we expected to finesse a low end room to cleanliness – we don’t expect to have to scrape goo off our feet)

The tub has nasty stains. Some of the marks left by non skid strips of years gone by had turned pinkish – others kind of yellowish. All old stripes in a tub are sickening; this was particularly so.

There is a lot of old adhesive/silicone grout still stuck to the edge of the tub where many years ago they took out glass shower doors. You can see them here; they were very pronounced and would have easily come off with some genuine effort. That is – if you were not a fitly swine – you would clean your tubs residue with a scraping tool and some cleanser

The shower curtain was at least washed. Man, you know I was scared to death to look at it by the point! What was gross was that the bar was rusted and when you pull the curtain back and forth, specks of rust flake all over.
